CALL TO ACTION- Jackson County Board of Commissioners Public Meeting
Jan 20 @ 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

***** Please share****

69 cities and 18 counties have banned retail stores, producers, processors, and wholesalers……we can’t let this happen here. Look how many patients & growers have already suffered in this state………

https://www.leafly.com/news/headlines/oregon-cities-ban-cannabis

*****CALL TO ACTION! *******

If you are taking medicine, making medicine, growing medicine, selling medicine, working with medicine, or in support of …………Please show up & bring all your friends, family, and neighbors.

Jackson County is considering imposing regulations that will shut down nearly 85% of the growers. There are over 6000 growers and 9500 patients in Jackson County…….patients will suffer! Tell Jackson County to LEAVE THE OMMP ALONE!

The Oregon Medical Marijuana Program has benefited tens of thousands of patients across the state. Patients depend upon this life-saving medicine and many patients depend upon the kindness of others. These proposed rules, while well-intentioned, will unnecessarily hurt the sickest and poorest patients among us. The recreational system is just now getting started and we don’t know how the new system is ultimately going to impact patients. It is premature to consider these new regulations at this time.

Please join the FB group “RIGHT TO GROW” to stay updated & get involved at taking a stand for patients rights. You will find information on the cities and counties that have already imposed bans, & what you can do to fight for your rights! https://www.facebook.com/groups/righttogrow/

Here are the proposed reg’s- https://m.facebook.com/download/205645973108916/JC%20Proposed%20Draft%20Rules%20122015.pdf

Members Only Meeting - Rec. Licensing Q&A w/ Paul Loney and Jonathan Manton @ Williams Grange
Jan 22 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

You can now apply for a Recreational Marijuana license online: https://apps.oregon.gov/OLCC/Marijuana/elicense/

Via: OregonLive

Though the state agency will review applications as they come in, Marks said regulators aren’t likely to approve any until after the Oregon Legislature meets next month. Lawmakers are expected to take up some marijuana-related issues that may impact the licensing process, such as requirements related to out-of-state investments.

Marks said the agency also expects to receive a lot of requests to waive certain requirements, particularly those related to security in outdoor grow sites, where locations may be out of the way and already shielded from view. He said reviewing and authorizing waivers will add to the time it takes to process each application.

While the Oregon Health Authority oversees medical marijuana, including dispensaries that for now may sell to recreational consumers, the recreational marijuana industry will shift entirely to the liquor commission by year’s end.

This event is for OSGG Members. Please review and sign (if you have not done so already) our confidentiality agreement and come with questions you might have about the licensing process.
