Patients & Growers!!! Action Alert:

Warm Greetings from OSGG~

We sincerely thank our community of growers and patients who continue to support our efforts. The Harvest Entry Party was a blast with a great response from growers and patients! Keep the entries rolling in and stay tuned for more info on February’s Terpene Cup.

On to the nitty gritty:
The Oregon State Legislature will kick off the 2016 session with a Legislative Hearing in Salem on January 13th from 2-5pm. Please plan to attend and have your voice heard among the agencies, interests, law enforcement and industry who will be pushing for the Joint Interim Committee On Marijuana Legalization to enact an array of new rules and laws that will impact family cannabis farmers.

OSGG is working on a Patient/Grower Book to be hand-delivered to the legislators on the Joint Interim Committee On Marijuana Legalization. Our Patient Profile will help give legislators a real idea of who OMMP serves and how the program has helped thousands of Oregonians.

Please view and fill out the form online here: https://form.jotform.com/53425646286159
It can also be downloaded here: patient_profile and mailed to our PO Box: 431 Williams, OR 97544

In addition to patient profiles, the Oregon Legislators need to hear directly from YOU. Over these next few weeks of the holiday season, we urge you to contact each of the legislators below with a hand written letter, an e-mail, or a phone call.  Please be respectful and share your personal story.

  • Introduce yourself and tell how long you’ve lived in Oregon and why you live in Oregon.
  • Share your passion for being a sungrown farmer and what it means to you.
  • Share stories of your patients and why you believe sungrown medicine is crucial to them.
  • Let them know what worries you most about the future of your farms.
  • Urge them to consider the impacts on responsible family farmers when weighing proposals in February.
  • Detail how sungrown cannabis farmers are responsible community members.

We will have more alerts in the months ahead, as details of legislative proposals emerge.  Right now, your voice is needed to highlight our responsible sungrown farming practices and dedication to our OMMP patients!
